In Memory Of Felicia

Felicia, Rebecca, Joe Sr. and Joe Jr.
I am asking you to donate to the campaign in a very special way. I have created a fund raising page on the official Barack Obama site.
Please click HERE to help me reach my fund raising goal of $2,008.00.
Your donation will honor the memory of a U.S. Civil Rights attorney, and mother of two, Felicia Dunn-Jones
Felicia Dunn-Jones died on February 10th, 2002, but the cause of her death was officially ruled as a direct result of the events of September 11th, 2001.
Felicia is now the 2,750th victim of the attacks on the World Trade Center. Her name was read for the first time last year as part of the September 11th Memorial Ceremonies held at the World Trade Center site.
Felicia was a U.S. Civil Rights attorney, working in lower Manhattan. She was also a caring mother to two children, one who was developmentally challenged. When the Trade Centers collapsed that awful day, Felicia was caught in the dust cloud that enveloped lower Manhattan.
She lost her shoes running from the dust, and walked barefoot across the Brooklyn Bridge, where she eventually was able to reach her home on Staten Island late that night.
Felicia soon developed a cough that would not go away. The autopsy determined that cause of her death was sarcoidosis, which slowly but surely diminishes lung capacity.
My wife met Felicia while attending Brooklyn Law School in 1985. Felicia left law school to have her second child, but later returned to complete her law degree.
I made a film last year that was submitted to the TropFest/Tribeca Film Festival. I met the architect and designer of the Staten Island September 11th Memorial, Masa Sono. Mr. Sono is from Japan, and is currently awaiting approval of his citizenship application. He has been waiting for five years now. I hope his moving tribute will someday enable him to become a U.S. Citizen.
The Staten Island Memorial has plaques containing carved profiles of all the victims of 9/11 who lived on Staten Island. Felicia’s portrait was the last one added.

In Memory of Felicia, please donate whatever you can.
